Ethos and Vision HIVE Family of Schools
Our Family of Schools currently delivers high quality and inclusive education. Being part of a strong trust enables us to have the formal, legally bidding structure to allow us to better share expertise, resources and support. Alongside our internal systems, our family of schools seek to maintain and extend partnership working; particularly around inclusion, transition and staff development.
Ethos
HIVE believes in schools where:
🐝 Children always come first
🐝Children feel safe and happy and ready to learn
🐝Expectations of progress for all children are high
We will support this by having schools which:
🐝Are highly inclusive settings
🐝Place a strong emphasis on staff well-being to support recruitment and retention, with a consistent code of conduct which is supportive of all staff
Leading to a rich learning environment where:
🐝A broad and balanced curriculum engages all learners
🐝Well-rounded individuals are developed through promoting independence and self-regulation
🐝The experience of education is valued beyond measurable outcomes
The unique part of our vision is deeply rooted in inclusion
The community in which our family of schools sits has seen an increase in pupils with SEND needs, particularly students presenting with more complex SEMH needs. Our family of schools has responded proactively at the individual student, whole school and wider community level.
Our vision extends to sharing and developing this best practice at both transition points around primary education. Looking ahead we plan to maintain and develop bespoke early years to KS1 support particularly for young children with SLCN and/or SEMH needs. Our desire to provide excellent education within mainstream settings will be enriched by the hosting of existing enhanced provisions as well as our developing partnership with local a Special School Trust.
