Working in Partnership

Writtle Infant School

Writtle Junior School works in partnership with Writtle Infant School.  We share opportunities to work together on curriculum initiatives, community events and the smooth transition from Year 2 to Year 3.  Mr Taylor is also the Head Teacher of Writtle Infant School.

CTSA: Collaborate, Trust, Share, Achieve – ‘Working together to be better together’

The Chelmsford Schools Partnership was established in March 2013 when Newlands Spring Primary School Academy Trust became a National Teaching School. In 2021, the Government withdrew funding for individual TSAs, replacing it with a network of larger Teaching School Hubs. However, CTSA continues to support its member schools under the banner of the CTSA Chelmsford Schools Partnership, providing locally delivered CPD and opportunities for school to school collaboration and practice sharing. We endeavour to support all of our schools to aspire towards outstanding teaching and learning, through a climate of mutual collaboration.

We currently have a partnership of 43 primary and 2 secondary schools based in and around Chelmsford in mid Essex. We are also a strategic partner of the Saffron Teaching School Hub, through which we are able to provide our member schools with access to even more local and regional development opportunities.

Chelmsford Teaching School Alliance

We have been providing school based initial teacher training for many years, alongside the other core functions of a network of lead schools: research and development; school-to-school support; and continuing professional development for teachers at all stages of their careers. With training Hubs in Cambridge, West Suffolk and Essex we have strong partnerships with schools across the region.

This means that choosing to train with CTSN will introduce you to a network of training and support that might continue well beyond your initial teacher training.
